The Helping Hands program takes Newcomer Women who have recently arrived in Canada on a supported journey that guides them through the following key stages of personal growth and social stability:
- Basic Needs – Food shelter, language support access to services. Example; where to find and access food banks in their community.
- Safety needs – Employment, financial and emotional security, schooling for children.
- Love and Belonging – community integration, connecting with extended family, faith family, business and professional networking. .
- Esteem and Leadership – Parent representation, community and civic leadership, Volunteering.
- Self Actualization – fully integrated into Canadian Society, realization of potential, achievement of professional and personal goals.
