Helping Hands Program

The Helping Hands program takes Newcomer Women who have recently arrived in Canada on a supported journey that guides them through the following key stages of personal growth and social stability:

  1. Basic Needs – Food shelter, language support access to services.  Example; where to find and access food banks in their community.
  2. Safety needs – Employment, financial and emotional security, schooling for children. 
  3. Love and Belonging – community integration, connecting with extended family, faith family, business and professional networking.  .
  4. Esteem and Leadership – Parent representation, community and civic leadership, Volunteering. 
  5. Self Actualization – fully integrated into Canadian Society, realization of potential, achievement of professional and personal goals.
